Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are committed in providing a safe, creative and empowering learning environment that allows each and every student to achieve academic success and develop exemplary character.
We are designated as a Title I campus based on the number of low-income students who are considered at-risk for school achievement.
There is no access to private lessons for instrument players. We have instruments only for 25 students and are trying to get more for the rest of the program. We do not have violas.
My Project
Students today must be properly equipped with advanced technological skills to be prepared for tomorrow's world. Students need meaningful opportunities to not only use computers and tablets as a resource to access the internet and information but also to create original, digital content and interact with each other through a digital forum.
My students, just like most of teenagers, love technology and they will benefit from having access to Chromebooks.
That would give them the opportunity to create digital content and participate in interactive digital lessons. Students will be able to use the Chromebooks anywhere in the classroom and even take the laptop computers outside of the classroom if necessary. Students will use the Chromebooks to work and improve their music skills as they develop aural aspects like identifying notes and intervals. They will create presentations and videos to showcase their learning.
