My Project

This project is intended to provide students with extensive support needs in my learning essentials special education classroom with musical and story-listening breaks.

These materials will help to support students in need of a break without interfering with the learning environment for others.

The 2 MP3 players will be uploaded with lots of musical options as well as audiobooks. Over the ear headphones are a must for the sensitive sensory needs of my students.

Music and stories are such a powerful and magical part of life. They have the ability to bring joy and comfort to those that listen. In particular, listening to music and audiobooks during a break intended to support a student through big feelings or a sensory break are helpful for all students in the shared space. MP3 players with headphones provides a student with a safe and socially acceptable way to take care of their individual needs while not interfering with the learning of others. Its a win-win!
