Help me give my students a variety of multisensory learning games to boost their engagement and confidence in learning.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Dong's classroom raised $547

My Students
I work with students who are diagnosed with speech impairments, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other health impairments this year. My students are from ages 4 to 7. All of them are English Language Learners who might not have attended a full-time school before. Most of them live in homes with non-English speaking parents or caregivers.
All students are eager to learn.
They truly show passion for learning, especially with assistance or support. They are curious about surrounding environments. They love to explore at their own pace. Your donation truly makes a difference. Thank you for your support.
My Project
With almost a year and a half of learning lost due to the pandemic, the learning dynamic had shifted dramatically when students returned to the classroom. I work with students who have special needs. It was heartbreaking to see how they struggle in learning, playing, and socializing. Their struggles are real: can’t hold a pencil appropriately; don’t know how to turn pages; struggle to identify and express their emotion; have a hard time interacting with others and don’t know how to cope. My students are seeking help and support.
By donating to our project, you will help my students with special needs to boost their confidence and engagement with multisensory learning activities.
In order for my students with special needs to acquire and practice new knowledge, they need to hear it, see it, feel it, and do it. Hands-on activities or games are essential to building up their schema in learning. The materials I requested involved lots of visuals, hands-on, and prompts. My students will work as groups or individually to practice the new skills they have learned.
We are reaching out to all of you to help us close up the gap and build upon it to provide the best support to meet the students’ needs. Your donations are truly appreciated. Thank you for your support.
