Multipurpose Printer For Hundreds Of Classroom Purposes
My students need a multipurpose, All-In-One printer with ink to scan documents to the Interactive White Board, print projects in color, and import class pictures.
Help third graders personalize technology in the classroom! We have pictures to include in Power Point Presentations but no scanner, we have beautiful typed final copy writing projects and a digital camera to take pictures but no color printer!
I teach an incredible group of happy, enthusiastic, and eager to learn third grade students in Georgia.
We are a very diverse school of all cultures and socioeconomic needs. Despite all of the children's unique differences, the one thing they have in common, is they all love to use technology!
My Project
If we had a multipurpose printer in our classroom- attached to the children's desktop computer, the kids would be able to connect all of our little pieces of technology together in order to personalize their projects and assignments. For example, the children write personal narratives and love to include photographs in their writing, they could scan the pictures and learn how to import them into their Word Document. Also, the children could take pictures of the geometric shapes around the school and create a Power Point presentation identifying the shapes rather then just listing them on a chart. Last example is, the children can use their thumb drives to work on their final copy stories and then finally print their papers to showcase on the bulletin board for all to admire.
Using technology is so important in our world today - technology is everywhere!
My children love to use it and you can help them not only enjoy their assignments and make them personalized, but you can help them learn some very important skills. The children can apply these skills to future projects, assignments, jobs, and further education.
