My Students

I teach in a rural and low-income school in Central Pennsylvania. Many of my students have limited experiences outside of our small area. I want to give them as many opportunities as I can.

Math, science, and technology truly are the wave of the future.

Without a firm foundation with these skills,​ my students will have difficulty throughout the rest of their education. They need to discover math and science for themselves. We have all sat in a classroom where we read chapter after chapter, memorizing vocabulary and taking tests. I want my classroom to be more than that and it will be with your help.

My Project

Higher order math concepts are so much easier to master when students have a clear understanding of their basic math facts. I’m asking for various resources that will help my students learn their basic multiplication facts. Memorization of these facts is the key to success. I would like for each student to have a set of flash cards that they will be able to take home and review each night. I am also looking to purchase some math games that students can play with one another when they complete their class work. These resources will be used for years to come.
