My students need Beat the Clock! fluency boards, power polygons, bucket balance, word problems, and other Math Materials to help with our new Math program.
"Mathematics is like love, a simple idea, but it can get complicated."-Unknown. My students are Third Grade students who are learning new Math Skills daily. The biggest challenge for them is the Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction and Division facts, Word Problems, Balancing, and Polygons.
These students are hard workers but need help every now in then in Math.
They really need Mathematics materials that will meet their needs with our New Math Program. I have found they are having trouble with Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction and Division Facts, Word Problems, Balancing, and Polygons so using these materials will help them learn and master skills they will use throughout their lives.
My Project
The students' problems can be helped with the Beat the Clock! fluency boards, power polygons, bucket balance, word problems workbooks, and other materials from DonorsChoose. They will be able to use the Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction, and Division Facts sheets daily. They also will be able to use the other resources on several lessons that are done over the school year. They can even use the Polygons in our Science program. These skills will need to be mastered for our State Test and skills they will need through out their school careers.
The donations will definitely build their confidence levels.
Right now they are having trouble grasping the concepts, bu, with these materials, the concepts will come easily to the students. Then they will find a love for Math that they have never had.
