This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my Dual Language Immersion classroom, students access familiar book titles in the language that they're learning or already know: Spanish! Having individual book boxes with easily accessible Spanish books are the purpose of my proposed Donors Choose project.

In the classroom, students should have access to paperback books with shorter text to practice the phonics skills that they learn during the day.

The book titles that I selected for my students are colorful and engaging and a good number of them are decodable texts for emergent Spanish readers.

We are excited to continue to grow the Spanish library in our classroom.
