My Students

My school is a co-ed Title 1 institution in North Carolina catering to approximately 700 students from all walks of life. Although we operate on a 100% free lunch system, we are still anchored in excellence. Everyday learning opportunities are provided to our students that allow them to explore, discover, and maximize their potential.

My scholarly Brainiacs are like gems, different yet precious!

They are a bunch of ambitious, hardworking, and willing to learn students. I am committed to my task of ensuring that I provide them meaningful, purposeful, inclusive, and relevant learning experiences daily!!

My Project

Diversity is the beauty of differences! Whether we continue to learn virtually or back physically in the building, I want to create learning opportunities where I can empower my students on the beauty of diversity. I want to help them build that awareness of the same difference.

With the use of this collection of multiculturalism books, I will be able to provide my scholarly Brainiacs with vicarious opportunities to learn about all sorts of diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, language, disabilities, and family structures.

After all, we come from all walks of life. As a 21-st century educator, one of the best ways to provide this awareness is to create, involve, and endorse an all-inclusive approach through activities such as stories, many stories. Our stories matter!
