The art classroom is a special place for students to explore and use their creative minds. I teach children visual art in kindergarten through 5th grades in South Carolina. Some students are special education students who are mainstreamed into the art classroom once a week.
My classroom is a place where all students can find success, no matter what their needs are.
I love helping students develop into independent learners. My students are all given the opportunity to learn and grow at their level and pace.
My Project
Students love to create self-portraits in the art room. I love introducing students to mixed media by allowing students to create self portraits using paper, oil pastels, paint, markers and color pencils. Students can be expressive and learn different art principles with this fun activity.
Students learn to problem solve and use their creative minds in the Art classroom.
They learn from mistakes and learn how to problem solve through art. This art lesson will reach multiple grade levels and will help students grow through artistic expression. Parent love getting these works of art!
