My Students

The students at our elementary school are wonderful. We have around 50 different languages spoken throughout our school. Our school is one of the most diverse schools in all of Chicago. So many different countries are represented in our hallways and students learn so much from each other since they have so many different backgrounds.

Students love to read and learn.

In our school library, students do many fun projects that keep their minds stimulated and engaged. Students enjoy coming to the library to pick out books and do projects.

My Project

At our school we have so many different cultures which includes many different types of skin. Currently, when we are doing any kind of drawings of students, students have the option of beige or brown to color their skin. I have heard so many time that they can't find their skin color in our crayons. That's just not right. So with this project I would have all different skin color crayons so students would feel included while making any type of drawing of themselves or a picture of a character we are reading about.
