Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We will be using a new curriculum next year, Mississippi Beginnings. We are starting with about 5 of the books we will need. We would love to have all of the books listed for this curriculum so we can read these to our students. We could pull them them up on YouTube possibly for it to read to them but we prefer to read to them ourselves. Our goal is to get the complete set of books we need.

These books are multicultural and will be a great learning experience for our children.

We live in a factory-centered community and our students are immersed with experiences with other cultures but class library does not reflect that.

My students are special needs preschool students, ages 4-5. My goal is to get them ready for kindergarten and for them to be successful. With these new books it will broaden their vocabulary and expand their imaginations. We would love to have all of the books that go along with this curriculum so that we can read to them everyday and spend this time bonding with them during our morning circle time.
