Multi Sensory Learning to Help Activate Our Working Memory
Help me give my students fine motor tools, an alphabet game, chewies for sensory needs, and a set of Lake Shore Turn and Learn Magnetic Gears to help keep them engaged in learning.
My students have a variety of disabilities that affect not only their bodies physically but also affect them emotionally and cognitively. They are 3 and 4 years old and amazing little people. They amaze me each day by not allowing their disabilities to stop them from living life and learning. Most of my students have difficulty staying focused and engaged when learning or completing tasks. They learn by staying in motion and being hands-on during lessons. My goal for these items is to provide my students with engaging activities that will also help them learn and to provide them with some sensory objects to help them with dysregulation.
By donating to our project, you will not only help improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will have a hand in helping my students increase their academic achievement.
The alphabet game will allow them to learn their letters and the sounds each letter makes while playing a game. This will make it feel like they are just having fun while teaching them. The hedge ball sorting pack will help them learn their colors, and how to match and sort colors. This set will help with fine motor skills when the students use the different tweezers to pick up the hedge balls. The hedge balls will also give the students with sensory issues a fun way to regulate themselves. The turn-and-learn magnetic gears will teach my students how gears function together when they twist one. The lacing animals will be used to help my students work on their fine motor skills of lacing. The chew necklaces and bracelets will be used for my students who need something in their mouths constantly. These items will be used daily, to help me teach my students, and keep them engaged.
