This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal of this project is to create a sensory-friendly classroom environment for my incoming Horizon students. I want to create a classroom environment that supports the diverse sensory needs of my students, thereby promoting their well-being and enhancing their learning experience.
This project aims to introduce a variety of sensory items into the classroom to cater to students who benefit from sensory stimulation for focus, comfort, and relaxation.
The sensory items I am aiming to provide to my students include tactile materials, visual aids, calming tools, and auditory resources designed to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
