My students need Pickleball equipment. Pickleball is a sport that contains elements of badminton and tennis and can be played in our multi-purpose room.

My Students
My physical education class is all about students reaching their fullest potential. As Derek Jeter said, "There may be people that have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do."
I teach high school adapted physical education in a multi-purpose room.
My students get off-task very easily when they are bored, so they are always keeping me on my toes! I am constantly introducing them to new activities. My students really enjoy playing ping-pong during their free periods, and I feel that pickleball will become a new activity they fall in love with as well.
My Project
My students will be introduced to pickleball. Most of them have not had the opportunity to play the sport in their previous physical education programs, and now will learn the rules and strategies for the game, along with the skills of a forehand and backhand hit. The paddles will be used for game play and practice in class. The extra pickleballs will be used in drills in class. Pickle ball is an important sport to introduce to my students because I believe each student should learn a racquet sport. The red rhino skin balls will be used for multiple activities including project adventure and bowling.
The donations will help my students be introduced to a new activity.
My students need variety in their lives, and physical education class is the one period a day they can work off most of their energy in a positive way!
