Multi-Media Tools Needed to Keep History Alive!

My students need headphones and a Chromebook so that we can continue our multi-media lessons related to our Social Studies units.

My Students

My kids love to learn! A typical day in class involves critical thinking/problem solving, collaboration, creativity and performance, all in an effort to keep them engaged and learning. Remarkably, my students remain excited about learning despite the absence of technology and high interest reading options. My students are brilliant and deserve challenging resources at their fingertips!

Nestled along the beautiful beaches of Florida, my school is an amazing learning space that provides families a great public school option.

Because funding is scarce, teachers are often left to hunt and gather resources to keep kids excited about learning. Having a stocked class library is just one step toward providing my students with tools they need to be successful.

My Project

A Chromebook and a class set of headphones will allow students to learn historical content using multi-media, 21st century resources to keep them engaged and excited about social studies lessons. Students will be able to take virtual field trips through the American Revolution sites in New England, visit the Library of Congress to see important historical documents, and even Skype with curators of various museums locally and globally. Combined with our class lessons, these tools will offer students project ideas and learning opportunities to experience the content in exciting ways. Having these tools will bring our lessons to life daily!
