Help me give my students Crayola Multi-Ethnic markers, Multicultural Cultural construction paper, Charcoal and Chalk pastels to further enhance their artistic expression.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students love to create and explore new art techniques. They really look forward to attending art class each week. We are a culturally diverse school. Our school is a place where we turn our mistakes into masterpieces.
Here, we turn our "Mistakes into Masterpieces".
We have a very welcoming atmosphere. As a Title I school we are a low income and high poverty/needs school. Our school is a neighborhood school that is located in a low socioeconomic zone of urban North Carolina. Each child at our school receives free breakfast and lunch through our nutrition program. In addition to breakfast and lunch, they also each also receive a healthy snack of fresh fruits or vegetables each day.
My Project
My class is in need of multicultural/multi ethnic art supplies and a drawing materials. In art we consume much of our supplies each year from all of your creating. My students would love to continue having a diverse selection of markers and construction paper to chose from. Their artwork should be a reflection of themselves. I certainly want them to feel that supplies were selected with them in mind.
With these supplies, my students will be able to select from a variety of hues that match their own skin tones.
It is wonderful to see students reaction when they have found colors close to their own. How inclusive it would feel and how inspired they will be to explore more and create more.
