My Students

Nelson Madela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon, which you can use to change the world". My school is made up of students who come from various backgrounds. In light of recent events, I would like to encourage my students to see themselves in the literature they read as well as students of other cultures. I want to promote an anti-racist environment. Unfortunately, funding at our school is at an all-time low. I would like to build on our classroom libraries with books that speak on racial injustice so they are informed, and ready to face the world with an anti-racist foundation.

My emphasis is to help our school be part of the solution not the problem, to promote anti-racist learners that are ready to make a positive change in the world.

They are our future and we can help create a better future by investing in them.

My Project

Your donation to this project will help provide a library of books that I will share with the school to promote the awareness and acceptance of all the beauty and differences in various cultures. I want to start to do more in creating an anti-racist environment for my students, by creating this multi-cultural library.

Help me equip students with knowledge and open minds, and be a positive change in our world.

Change starts in our homes and continues in our classrooms, when it comes to children. These books will be used as diving board into lessons and discussions about race and cultures
