Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a total of fifty, amazing students who are learning Spanish as a strong first language, a second or even a third language. My students are a caring, resilient and compassionate group of kids. They care and worry about each other. If I am unaware of something that is going on and I want to know more, all I need to do is ask.

My students come from diverse backgrounds, cultures and needs.

Although our school might be situated in a high poverty neighborhood, my students never complain about anything and are thankful for what they have.

My Project

My students are eager to come back to school and learn and I need to be ready to meet them and to give them the much needed connection through a reliable device.

With our transition to remote learning this past Spring as well as Summer school I realized I lack a reliable device at home on which I am able to provide uninterrupted and personalized online learning.

The device I currently have at home continuously has issues while logged in to the different online platforms and learning is interrupted continuously. Students have done a great job of signaling me when they are unable to hear the lesson, the only problem with that is that I have to go back and repeat where I left off. Truly appreciate the support ahead of time since I am as eager to go back to learning as much as I am sure my students are as well.
