MTSS the RSTAY Way

Help me give my students resources to support our MTSS initiative so that we can provide teachers with resources, implement interventions with the use of iPads, and track students' progress and save data on a common, shared computer.

My Project

Our district recently adopted MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) which seeks to address learning from a whole-child perspective by targeting all areas that may impact a student's learning, including academics, attendance, social-emotional learning, and behaviors. I am the MTSS Coordinator at my school tasked with leading this initative and helping develop and implement interventions and track progress of the interventions to determine the level of success. The iPads would be used during pull out or small group sessions to allow students to participate in computer-based interventions along with the use of headphones for students to work independently with limited distractions. The reading assessments resources would be used with students weekly to track their progress with the interventions overtime and the inspirational quotes can be provided for students as rewards and incentives to motivate students. Additional resources requested would allow staff to continue to grow in our work of supporting students and providing interventions. There are several books and resources around MTSS that would be beneficial for myself and teachers in continuing to build upon our knowledge, as well as identifying research-based interventions that might be effective in the classroom. Given that data around interventions has to be tracked and monitored for our district, a common, shared computer would be beneficial to help house all the information and documentation related to student success so that as the coordinator I am able to accurately review and analyze school-wide data, as well as have the information to visually share with students and plan for further supports.
