My Project

I teach an amazing group of diverse students with different cultures, backgrounds and learning styles. I want to create a classroom space to make students feel safe, welcome and ready to learn!

I am a special education teacher within Chicago Public Schools and have been teaching for 12 years.

I am moving into a new role as our resource classroom teacher and will be teaching students from grades K-4th grade with a variety of different learning needs.

The rugs, seating, yoga mats, headphones, markers, dividers, sensory tiles, books and classroom decor will help me create a warm and welcoming classroom space where all of my students feel safe and encouraged to do their best learning.
