My Project
These materials will be used to create an inclusive, safe, and engaging space for special education middle school students with social emotional challenges. The materials I have selected (e.g., fidgets, games, snacks, workbooks) will be used to provide direct skill instruction in managing anxiety, social skills, and promoting self-esteem. These materials will be used in a small group setting.
It is important that I provide materials that are relevant and inclusive to the students I serve, as well as their specific social emotional goals.
I want to provide my students with a safe space to explore their strengths, challenges, and emotions, and these materials will assist me in that goal.
