Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the feeling of being a kid in a candy store, that' the same feeling I get being able to teach my wonderful students.
I teach all 8th grade students and 7th grade Career Explorations at Mater Academy East and I have some of the best students in the world!
My Science students absorb information like a sponge and can use the information given to them to do amazing things. They not only participate in distance learning by having the the best attendance in the school, but they work hard and ask questions when they don't understand something. My students can build amazing simulations and and inventions that they use to inquire about difficult science concepts.
Career explorations is a rigorous coarse where my students learn about different career paths that lead into our high school's CTE programs.
My students are are driven to be the best students on campus! Learning interviewing techniques, resume writing and different career clusters sets them aside from other students, my kids are career ready!
My Project
These individual whiteboards will help with the distance learning. As a teacher we are always trying to asses the students quickly and frequently. White boards will allow my students the ability to write down their thoughts and ideas and present it to me and the class in-person and virtually.
This will allow my student interact with the students who are virtual and the students around them, mending the virtual and in-person divide.
As a teacher this will not only make my students lives easier, but also my own life better, as well.
