This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My science students absorb information like a sponge and can use the information given to them to do amazing things. They work hard and ask questions when they don't understand something.
My students are driven to be the best students on campus!
They can build amazing simulations and inventions that they use to inquire about difficult science concepts.
My Project
There are many items I have put on my list. The office supplies such as the pencils, paper, expo markers, glue, tape dispenser, and stapler all benefit my students learning environment. Science is a demanding subject that requires notes, workbook activities and labs. these materials listed go directly to my students to relieve the stress of having to provide these mandatory materials themselves. Students will use the pencils every day, the paper for notes, the markers for white board responses, the glue and tape and stapler to put pages in their notebooks. The head phones are great for the students because they can use them for testing and reading in my class.
Since there are lots of labs that take place, and students learn best by doing, I would also like to provide lab equipment for fun explorative labs.
The Standard it follows is: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.6.1
Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 6 topics, texts, and issues, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly.
The Make up brushes, dinosaur bones and magnifying glasses will be used to help the students study fossils and excavate their own fossils outside.
The Marble run is a fun activity that teaches the students team work while still teach them about STEM,
The Buzzers allow team activities to be done more efficiently and less chaotic way. Along with the Escape Room Game it is a good game for the students work on problem solving skills.
The bulletin board will add decorations to the class to create a more fun environment.
The bean bag chairs are a great comfortable seating option.
