This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the feeling of being a kid in a candy store? That's the same feeling I get being able to teach my wonderful science students. I teach all 8th grade students at my middle school, and I have some of the best students in the world!

My science students absorb information like a sponge and can use the information given to them to do amazing things.

They not only participate in distance learning by having the the best attendance in the school, but they work hard and ask questions when they don't understand something. My students can build amazing simulations and and inventions that they use to inquire about difficult science concepts.

My Project

CHICKENS! Here in the fast-paced city of Las Vegas my students do not get to indulge in the simplicities of country life. And it is because of our city life that we miss out on connecting with nature.

Help me let nature connect with them!

This project will help my students witness the miracle of life before their eye. We will raise the chicks as a class and love it for all their whole life. With a life span of 5-10 years, the Chicks will touch over 500 students lives.

Best of all, with my schools hybrid model, all my students will get to see this happen!
