This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are entering the 4th grade at a very weird time. Not only are they all attending a very new school, they are also doing it all online for who knows how long. Although schooling looks very different I'm excited to see these eager 4th graders online and ready to learn.

My Project

These materials will help students stay engaged during virtual learning. I expect to do share and show with whiteboards in our everyday math lessons. When we eventually return into the classroom flexible seating is a must. I will use flexible seating when I do small group lessons so that every single student will have the opportunity to use flexible seating at least once a week. This gives students the eagerness to come and work with me when they see these cool seats they get to sit on. I also would like to have my classroom completely finished and decorated as if students could come into the classroom tomorrow. On the first day of school I will show the students their classroom so that they can be as excited as I am to hopefully come back to my class one day. The products that I have chosen will help my students be successful in virtual learning, and help me in my first year teaching!
