My Project

Hi everyone, this is Mollie, and for those that don't know me I am currently a high school wood shop teacher. I teach 6 classes and 2 preps (Manufacturing and Construction) that serve 120 students. I will be going into my third year teaching high school next year, and I am seeking help from my friends, family and community, for financial assistance with supplies that will benefit in making a functional classroom.

I am looking to fundraise for:

Multiple heavy duty shelving units for the purpose to hold student projects for all 6 classes. Also, shelves for the finishing area where students can sit their projects to dry without disturbance. Currently, we have limited extra space storage wise (and classroom wise), and stuff gets shuffled a lot. I hope to create stationary spaces where it takes away worry that a project might get messed up due no room.

Heavy duty storage containers and barrels, small and large for various wood cut offs and scrap because we use it all! My students can attest Ms. Schaidt does not like to be wasteful.

5 gallons of white paint, several gallons of blue paint, and a ladder. The walls in my shop have seen abuse. Last year, my students and I started painting with a color I picked up from my local habitat for humanity. It made the space look and feel so much better! The white paint will cover many years of the lovely graffiti in my finishing room, and the ladder will help to reach the ceiling.

Crates for classroom tools and supplies.

Anything extra will be used for supplies for the classroom for example: highlighters, pencils, erasers, tape, card stock, lined paper, masking tape, butcher paper rolls, stains, plastic bags, contractor bags, a mop, duster, tissues, wipes..
