Help me give my students a standing desk, bulletin board paper, a rug and other resources for a space that feels like home. My classroom is structured to feel like a safe space and a family atmosphere.

My Project

The items that I have included in my list are to help my students feel comfortable in their classroom. I want my students to enter the class and feel comfortable, safe and like a home away from home. My goal is to have an atmosphere where students experience an environment where they feel they can do their best work. The affirmations, decor and lighting will allow the students to work in an environment that is conducive to learning. The standing desk allows for a center where students with extra energy can stand and complete assignments. Sitting all day is not something that we adults enjoy and it is no different with children.

I work in a Title I school where students need extra love and support.

With the love and support they are given my students have shown tremendous growth. They work hard everyday to achieve the goals they have set from themselves. They deserve a space where they can relax, focus and enjoy being at school.
