Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will use some of these materials for their basic needs in the classroom. Some of these materials will allow for easier organization and access for students to their materials! For example, shelves and bins will allow student-facing materials such as math manipulatives and books to be within student reach!

Lots of the books on the list are science and social studies specific.

This is because our students lack some access to nonfiction, age-appropriate texts about these topics. Further, these books represent diverse individuals involved in science and history, which is imperative for our students to see!

Lastly, some basic materials such as tissues, headphones, and pencils are hard to keep in stock in the classroom! Unfortunately, when replacements are needed, it is nearly always necessary to pay out of pocket.

I teach a group of students who work so hard each day to make tremendous academic growth. We continue to face issues of running out of resources and not having an easy way to access more. Please consider donating!
