This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Their outlook on things is what I love most about my students. I learn so much from them, that helps me to make my lessons more relevant to their learning styles, which is consistently changing as our generations grow. One of the biggest things I admire is their resilience and adaptability when I least expect it.
My Project
I am a high school math teacher. Our technology resources are very limited. Math is already a challenge as it is so this tablet will help my student see visually how to complete problems, such as the Quadraic equation or simply solving for X, I have had to come up with creative ways to do so. I have used the WACOM Board before and it works awesomely. It provides a virtual white board for the students and on my end it’s easy to write out problems (as opposed to using mouse). As stated technology is very limited, simple things such as having another screen, a good camera, and a microphone so that my students can see and hear me clearly would help my students learn. Our laptops have these items built in but the quality is poor.
