My Students

I teach at a public Pre-K through 5th grade elementary school in Washington DC. My first grade scholars are intelligent, curious and eager to learn.

They are coming into the classroom every day ready to learn.

My students crave access to new learning opportunities. Currently my students have very limited access to computers at home and in their classroom. Despite hardship and challenges, they show up to school each day and are ready to work hard. They deserve equal access to high quality teaching and technology in their classroom.

My Project

My first grade scholars need computers to foster their learning in this technological world. With these laptops in the classroom they will be able to develop their math, reading, research, typing, and coding skills all while collaborating with each other.

My students need laptops to help them access all areas of our rigorous curriculum and in order to help them prepare to solve the ever growing world problems of the future.

This is their world and they deserve help keeping up with its increasingly essential technology. Unfortunately, as is the dilemma of many public schools, technology is hard to come by for my classroom. The funding is simply not there. Please help my students continue to become successful readers, mathematicians, and leaders.

Because of the generosity shown during our last DonorsChoose we are able to get four more additional computers for our class! THANK YOU.
