Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher to 25 first graders. My students are excited about learning. Most to all of my students are English learners, but have the drive to learn English and everything they need to in the first grade.
This group of first graders are fun and full of energy and are always asking questions to expand their knowledge.
They want to learn as must as they can and really soak in everything that I am teaching them. Within the first few weeks I have a few completely no English speak actually speaking a few complete sentences.
My Project
Having a great sharpener that can be relayed on and not struggle with a sharpener overheating and cause more distractions in class. The sharpener will be used daily so they can write their ideas and do assignments in class.
Not only is the sharpener is important to have but books are amazing ways to get ideas flowing and to learn about new things.
With the books we will expand our minds and classroom library. So that we can have ideas flowing and expanding our knowledge about new things.
We will use the books for future lessons about community helpers and not giving up when things look hard. The awards will be given to those students have read many different books to celebrate them expanding their reading skills.
