This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am an ELA teacher. My babies struggle with reading comprehension and writing. We are currently reading Animal Farm. Kids who struggle with reading, often lose interest because they are embarrassed by their reading skills. If I had the ability to lend them graphic novels, they could understand the story better with pictures. These books will go a long way to help them understand the unit. The notebooks and paper will come in handy with Writing Wednesdays. My kids need to learn how to properly write paragraphs and answer essay questions. By having their own writing journal or if I had the extra paper. This goal would be easy to implement. Help me show my babies the gift of writing and reading.
