This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I like to say that my classroom is where learning is magical. My classroom is unique in that my students are constantly moving around and changing places to stay engaged. My students are not limited to a desk and chair all day long.

Learning is magical in our room because learning takes place in more than one place.

I truly believe that my students deserve a classroom that they LOVE to be in and learn. I strive to make my classroom a community that students feel inspired and want to be. Let's just say that if I need a space that is flexible in seating options, so do my students.

My Project

Education has evolved over time and so has our understanding of the "perfect" work space for students. My students are sitting in chairs that are too big for them and, therefore, struggle to remain focused. Through research, I have found that giving students flexible seating options leads to better engagement.

My students would love the opportunity to be able to choose their seating options.

I want to provide them with a variety of seating options that works best for them. My students need a 4 wobble chairs, 2 lap desks and a pillow. I can't wait to see their increased engagement as well as their excitement for new seating options.
