Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a special education, math classroom it is very important to give my students alternate work spaces to give them flexibility in their learning. This flexible seating area will also double as a cozy, calming corner when big emotions start to take over. I plan on using this space during our morning restorative circle as well. I think my classes will love having this area to utilize during independent work.
Giving students the freedom to chose their work space will help to further promote learning while keeping them safe and engaged in their work.
