Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students come from low income families who are generally unable to provide materials for their children. As a result the teachers here often spend their own money to help get what the children need.

My students are wonderful kids who really want to learn.

I love to see the "light bulb" moment when they understand a concept.

The storage bins will help us organize our materials so the students will know exactly where to tools are that will help them succeed. The dry erase pockets encourage our students to try with the knowledge that mistakes can be wiped away so they can try again. The caddies will allow us to keep frequently used materials on the tables for easy access.

Wonderful donors like you help alleviate the strain on both teachers and parents alike. These supplies will help me make the most of the lessons so that all of my students have a chance to shine in math.

Because I am a math interventionist, I pull students from all grade levels and bring them to my class. Because we have so many students in need, I often do not have enough seating for everyone. The stools will help immensely.
