This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to grow, enthusiastic to find their place in our modern world, and to develop the skills necessary for everything that life hands them. As a 21st century magnet school, our students are figuring out the balance between using technology and hands-on tools. Our school is located in the middle of the Mojave Desert where many families are migrant workers that travel between here and other agricultural centers or are in homes with low socioeconomic status so consistency is key to their learning and development.

At school, my students find resources and opportunities that they do not hear much about at home and so rely on the resources that school has to offer.

They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! As a first year teacher, I am still collecting and gathering many of the tools and resources that they need to continue to grow and develop important life skills.

My Project

My students come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically though they don't see this happen much at home. They are enthusiastic to keep growing and to find their place in our modern world. Many of them rely on the resources, supplies, and nutrition that our school provides to keep them feeling encouraged about the future. Their eagerness to grow and learn, their courage to keep moving forward, and their willingness to try new things are my daily motivation. Truly, these students serve as my inspiration!
