This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students work so hard during the day, we take a snack break every day between subjects. This helps give them the energy to keep working hard, some of my students bring in their own snack but most are unable to. So they have the option to go into my snack drawers and pick something out. This makes it so no one is unable to eat a snack during the day, even if their parents are unable to provide them with snack.
I also asked for printer ink, I give my students homework packets for the week.
This helps me differentiate work based on students' needs. We are currently beginning a decimal math unit and I will use the paper money to make the connection to real world math problems.
