Help me give my students a classroom library. As a new middle school teacher, I am looking to create a classroom library with book titles which are exciting for young students.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My name is Caitlin Hightower and I am new to teaching middle school. My goal is to create a classroom library where students can find age appropriate books which spark their interests. These items will be used for independent reading, and help build skills of reading comprehension and academic vocabulary. My students are special because they come from a variety of different backgrounds and have a variety of interests. I have students at a variety of reading levels and the books I selected will help all students improve their reading skills.
