Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first year teacher and I am teaching 2nd grade. My classroom is full of bright and ready-to-learn students that are in the middle of a wonderful school year!
My students are so curious and technologically inclined.
They are most engaged with STEM materials and technology. We have developed a wonderful classroom community and enjoy learning everyday, with each other!
I love how engaged they get in my lessons and all of the amazing questions they ask, and I want to give them so much more!
My Project
The iPads and Magna-Tiles, and all of the other wonderful resources, that I found will be great for my students to use in stations and small group work. The students will be able to utilize and access many different types of resources about concepts we will be covering in class.
The iPads, especially, with be a great resource for all subjects and for every day use in my classroom!
The math manipulatives, games, and resources will be another great resource for my students to use during math lessons so that all of my students can learn with hands-on materials- both in whole group and small group instruction.
The students will be able to independently play these games and use these materials within a station when we work on telling time and place value. The Magna-Tiles will be great when used in STEM stations. The iPad can be used in research for every subject and for students to be able to use different technology and applications throughout the day.
