This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is an "integrated co-teaching" classroom where there are two teachers. This allows for increased attention for each and every student.
Our students are 2nd graders in a Bronx public school.
Thirteen students are Special Education students with learning disabilities and/or speech impairments. These students need extra support and a variety of resources to help meet their special needs. We as teachers take pride in, and responsibility for, creating an environment in which our students can perform at their highest level, as well as promote a positive attitude and ambition to do so.
My Project
As an integrated co-teaching classroom, each teacher works with a group of students to better support specific needs. The "small group" has difficulty cramming into one table for a lesson. The students in this small group often have sensory issues and need room to work. Having a new carpet will make students more comfortable in their spots. With our new resources, students will be excited to participate and discuss in our small group.
Your donation will make a difference because you will be helping students feel more comfortable in their classroom.
This will help students achieve success this year, as well as in the future! Please help make a difference! Thank you so much for your support.
