This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a self contained classroom of 13 students with low incidence disabilities. This is a brand new classroom in our school, and I am a first year teacher. There are LOTS of things our classroom needs. One of the most important parts of our classroom will be our library.
Storybooks are not only important tools for literacy, they also teach our students about the world and all the wonderful things that are waiting for them out there!
I want to ensure that my students can find stories about people that look like them and that experience the world like my kids do.
