Ms. Chin's Pictures: Memories that Last a Lifetime

Help me give my students memories that will last a life-time through photo papers for our printer.

My Students

Our early childhood school is now in its twelfth year serving the community. In our pre-k class, that means over one hundred and eighty students have come and gone from this classroom. Along with that, many other students have called our room home for enrichment classes, after school programs and summer camp.

Families send their precious children to our class everyday, for us to help them take those first steps towards accomplishing great feats.

Our families are working class parents who often work long hours to provide for their children.

Children make this room their home for however long they stay and miss it dearly when they move on. It's something we take pride in, and we hope to continue doing what we love to do and that nurtures their love of learning.

I've been teaching at my first and current school for seven years. No matter who enters through that door, they are part of our school family. I hope to provide them with the absolute best education we can offer.

My Project

In our pre-K class, the students know they have two teachers. Ms. Chin is our paraprofessional but she does so much more for our kids and their families. You can always count on Ms. Chin to capture beautiful moments on camera throughout the day and when the children are napping, she goes through them to print out and post on our bulletin board for parents to see. She does this daily for our parents who are curious to see what is happening in their child's classroom.

As the year progresses day by day, photos are constantly being printed and we begin to see just how much our students are growing before our very eyes.

That is the power of a photo. It captures a moment in time that we will never be able to visit again. However, it elicits emotions and memories we hold dear in our heart. In the end, photos printed will be given back to the families so they can look back on the memories they had in pre-K. This is all made possible thanks to Helen Chin.

Ms. Chin prints about 10-15 pictures every day. I am requesting photo paper so we may continue to give our families stacks of memories as a gift at the end of the year.
