My Project

Every single day, there are kids come to school hungry.

It has always been a goal of mine to be able to provide hungry kids with food, and some days, that means giving a child the food out of my own lunchbox.

Many children only rely on the school-provided meals for nutrition during the day.

Every day, I see candy, chips, cookies, processed 'junk-food', leftovers, and sugar-filled drinks. My fifth graders have their lunch at 12:30, so being able to provide them with healthy snack options earlier in the morning helps with behavior, focus, and overall morale.
