Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Play- based curriculum and learning require lots of organization and planning to help the flow of structure, transitions, and overall effectiveness.
Giving my students the proper materials will allow the classroom to be efficient and they will be able to learn to use the correct size of materials needed to achieve their learning potential.
The colored pencils and the regular pencils are the perfect size for four year old students because they are learning how to hold the pencil the correct way. The pencil sharpener will allow for the student’s pencils to be ready to write at all times. They will store the pencils in the pencil pouches.The tempera paint will give my students an opportunity to be creative in the art center. The easel and the white board will allow me to use during instruction time in large group and in small group. I will use the large pouches to keep the necessary materials needed to teach during small group instruction. The math felt board and the puzzles will allow the students to use their fine motor skills. We need a timer that we can see and hear instead of using a sand timer which we can’t keep an eye on when kids are busing learning.
These materials will give my students the opportunity to learn and enjoy while being at school.
