My Project

I am writing to you to request some manipulative's in order to help my students maximize their understanding in their number sense, understanding of math, and to help increase their performance. I will be using these manipulative's in centers throughout the day. I teach math and science to 32 students.

I understand that it is the end of their year, but I teach at a small school district and am concerned about the 3rd graders that will be in my class next year.

Their math skills are very low and they are not excited about learning math. I want to increase their excitement in learning and believe that having these manipulative's will help do that.

My goals for using the manipulative's are to increase my students knowledge by having them use these hands on tools. I also want them to learn to love math and understand that they will be need to use their math skills for the rest of their life. I would love to see their test scores increase as well.
