Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm a first year teacher trying to provide an equitable education for all my students. With this project I have pulled a few things I feel I would make my students successful in our classroom.

I plan on giving an appropriate chunk of my day to carpet learning (including Social Emotional Learning).

I would need a carpet large enough for all my students to gather and share their thoughts and opinions.

I need Clorox wipes are to ensure my classroom is as clean and safe as possible. With the spread of germs being so easy, I need to ensure I keep a disinfected area.

The floor cushions and lap desks are for small group instruction down at the carpet, where I will have 4-5 students working with me. The timer will also be of good use when keeping time for activities throughout the day; a visual for students to be able to pace themselves and realize how much time they have.
