I need to experience Get Your Teach On! This dynamic conference will provide me with great tools to bring back to my own classroom. This conference focuses on creativity and results in teaching.

My Students

Being only about 10 minutes from a major city brings a lot of diversity to my classroom. In our room we are Innovators. We are thinkers, dreamers, doers, fixers. We are students of our own creation. My students learn by doing and doing it wrong. I teach STEM.

We have students from many different backgrounds, both ethnic and socioeconomic, but what keeps us all together is our passion for the content.

My students are eager and excited to learn about science and technology. They come to me each day with anticipation. They want to know "What are we going to do today? How are we going to be challenged?" I mention challenged because the content in my classroom is highly challenging. It is also highly applicable to real-world problems. My classroom contains the future engineers, bio-technicians, and inventors of the world. These kids will make a difference, but only if we continue to provide them with the opportunity to realize their own potential.

I work hard to assure that I continue to help my students realize that "THEY CAN!". They can create something new and they can make a difference. They ARE OUR FUTURE.

My Project

Being given the opportunity to attend the Get Your Teach On conference will provide me with a unique chance to experience high energy and creativity first hand. Get Your Teach On is unlike any other teaching conference or training out there in that it focuses on creative approach and sparking enthusiasm. I am very passionate about being outside of the box and offering my student a brand of enthusiasm and creativity.

A conference like Get Your Teach On gives teachers an opportunity to learn how to creatively engage learners with high energy, interest, and enthusiasm.

This is such an important component of education. This conference will give me tools and tricks that I can come home with and apply right away. The teachers and presenters at Get Your Teach On have proven methods and approaches to creative teaching that I look forward to learning and applying back at my school.
