Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 2nd grade students attend a STEAM school where they focus their learning through projects throughout the year. My students are bright, kind, happy, thoughtful kids who come to school every day to try their best.
My students love to move during the day!
They are active and social with each other. They love to move around the classroom to complete their work. Throughout the day you will find students in the library reading books on pillows or sitting on wiggle seats. You will find students laying on their belly on the learning rug or sitting in their classroom chair at their desks. They like to try out new corners to sit and different chairs to sit on to complete work.
My Project
I am asking for 2 things for this project. The first item are called bouncy bands. They are essentially stretchy bands that attach to the legs of students chairs so they can bounce their feet and get their wiggles out even at their desk. This really helps students who enjoy using their desk surface for work but need a way to release that extra energy.
My students enjoy moving all over the class.
The 2nd item I am requesting are white boards. These are essential for students to move around the classroom where ever they like to complete work! Thanks you!
