Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having taught for over 30 years in an inner-city diversely populated district, I know that my students like to see themselves represented in the books that we read and the projects that we do. Many of my students also are not able to bring in their own supplies from home but they all enjoy celebrating their successes and birthdays and a comfy seat to read a good book!

Being able to give my students multicultural art supplies so they can represent themselves accurately in classroom projects always brings a smile to their face!

Donating to this project will help me motivate each one of my students by providing them with prizes to at times celebrate their hard work, calming strips for when the days are a little tough and fun birthday crowns, pencils and bracelets to celebrate their big day!!
