My Students

I teach some of the finest in Summerville, SC. I currently have 55 English I Honors students and 80 AP Language and Composition students.

My students are the best of the best, and I would like to provide the game changer that they all deserve.

Not all of my students have Internet access at home. People often take for granted that every honors and AP student has a computer and Internet access at home. This is just not the case, so I want to provide my students in my classroom the opportunities that they may not have at home.

My Project

Having the set of Streams (computers) will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. They will be used for a variety of purposes including typing papers, collaborating with their peers, researching for different essay topics and assignments, and preparing for their end of the year exams.

My project will make a difference because my students are part of the technology generation.

Computers will only help them better their learning and their test scores.

Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
